The
KAPP Group introduces two new machines:
|
|
| |
NILES ZE
Line:
630, 800, 1000
Making
big things happen.
The ZE line was designed
to meet the demand for high-quality, low-noise gears as used in
the turbo-machinery and wind-power industries. These machines
are immediately operable as soon as they are delivered to a shop
floor. Engineered with ergonomics in mind, all of the essential
operator elements, including the workpiece, are accessible to
the machine operator from the factory floor. All ZE machines come
equipped with hydrostatic column guideways and oversized rotary
tables. NILES ZE 630, 800 and 1000 machines are capable of utilizing
dressable vitrified and non-dressable CBN wheels and provide a
quick wheel-exchange system for the CBN wheels. Siemens 840D control
and Siemens 611D Simo-Drives, come as standard equipment and optional
special grinding spindles are available for smaller diameters
or internal grinding. Please see www.niles.de
for details on this and other NILES machines.

KAPP CX 120
Machine:
Breaking
new ground.
Designated CX for coroning
and KX for grinding, the CX/KX 120 machine is the only machine
to utilize this brand new and innovative technology. KAPP
engineers designed the CX/KX machine as a single platform system
easily adjusted to accommodate the different hard-finishing gear
processes of Coroning, Profile Grinding and Generating Grinding.
The machine work spindle is oriented vertically for ease of automation.
The machine automation system, footprint and system price are
similar for either grinding or coroning thus simplifying production
planning. These two processes can also be linked in series for
optimum productivity when grinding gears that require higher stock
removal. Due to eliminated processes normally needed to run mass
production of automotive parts (shaving & burnishing), the
total gear cost is controlled and at times significantly reduced.
