ROTO-FLOŽ tooling is engineered and manufactured in our own gear tooling
facility. CNC form grinders, special inspection instruments, and in-house
ROTO-FLOŽ machines for tooling try-out results in quality tools and on-time
deliveries.

Shaving Cutters

Rotary Gear Hones
U. S. Gear Tools, Inc. also manufactures gear hones to meet your needs.
Gear honing is for finishing of hardened spur and helical gears. Honing
follows heat treat and is used for minimal amount of stock removal. This
process was originally developed to improve the surface texture of gear
teeth and thus reduce noise levels in gear transmissions. However, the primary
use of gear honing is to remove nicks, burrs, and heat-treat scale.
