New Coated Insert from Seco-Carboloy
The carbide incorporates a hard coating composed of an alpha alumina material with a fine grain structure. According to the companys press release, the coatings smoothness prevents the built-up edge that can occur in machining stainless materials.
April 16, 2004—The TP3000 from Seco Carboloy is a new generation of coated inserts for steel turning to be used on machining applications such as heavy roughing, interrupted cuts, heavy feed rates and workpiece materials with uneven machinability between different material batches.
