Schafer Gear has appointed Robert Doshi as operations manager of its South Bend, Indiana production facility. Doshi will be responsible for monitoring and improving production, quality, material flow, customer relations and human resources. Prior to joining the company, Doshi was employed by Memorial Hospital in South Bend. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in biology.

"Robert Doshi's experience and knowledge of our internal systems makes him ideal for these new responsibilities. He can help take our company to a new level as we ramp up for our projected growth over the next two years," says Stan Blenke, executive vice president at Schafer.

In addition, Schafer has appointed Paresh Shah (pictured) as vice president of engineering and business development. In this role, Shah will oversee all engineering functions and work with executives on business development. He has worked for a number of gear manufacturers and is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a master's degree in mechanical engineering.

"Since Paresh joined the Schafer team, he has been instrumental in formalizing and updating critical engineering procedures. He has also worked very hard on new projects and business development," says Bipin Doshi, Schafer president.

Dennis Sharp has been appointed as production manger and Ryan Finfrock as senior process engineer. Both will work at the South Bend production facility. Prior to joining Schafer, Sharp was a plant manager with Affinia. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing.
