New Face Drivers for Gear Hobbing from Logansport

February 2, 2005—The FDNC face drivers from Logansport Matsumoto are designed for gear hobbing operations.

According to the company’s press release, this driver enables hobbing in a single operation and eliminates the need for a chuck.

This allows the entire workpiece to be exposed for machining and turning in one operation. In addition, hobs stay on one machine and tolerance stack-ups are eliminated.

Available in flange-mount with Morse and straight-shank styles, the drivers also offer a quick change drive disk for faster job changeovers.
