New Vertical Scanning Machine from Inductoheat

April 21, 2005—The new modular Statiscan vertical scanning machine from Inductoheat is tooled up to process steering input shafts.

According to the company’s press release, the machine can process a range of steering shafts. A new control system enables the machine to process a multitude of different parts. On a single application, seven different diameters are surface hardened. Power level and scan rate are adjusted with respect to lateral position to accomodate the specified pattern.

Feed rate requirements are accomodated with proper power supply size selection. Various diameters and case depths are accomodated with proper frequency selection.
