August 16, 2012—In KISSsoft, the calculation of bolts in accordance with VDI 2230 is implemented as specified in Sheet 2 (SPK module). The draft version of this guideline has been available since autumn 2011. The new guideline not only includes the calculation procedure for multi-bolted joints, but also the method for integrating FE results into the classic calculation. Model classes II and III are implemented in the KISSsoft module.
