Alpha Gear Releases New Gearhead

April 22, 2006—The TK+ from Alpha Gear is a low-backlash, right-angle gearhead with hypoid technology.

According to alpha gear’s literature, the hollow-shaft flange output style makes new design solutions possible.

The gearheads can be mounted to any servomotor with greater ease. In addition, the TK+ offers more torque and less noise than bevel gearheads. Torsional backlash is less than four arc-minutes (fatigue resisting). Efficiency is rated at greater than 96% for one stage and greater than 94% for two stages.

The gearhead is suitable for machine tool, automation, packaging and printing applications. Available in five sizes, it is designed for cyclic and continuous operation.
