There's both rhyme and reason to incorporating lean strategies on an assembly line. On any assembly line you'll find a particular workflow where everything has its place and the day-to-day job requirements remain consistent.
Lean manufacturing, does not however, lend itself so easily to the job shop where every day is different and every order is unique.
