Gleason Offers Upgrade Package for Inspection Systems

October 18, 2010

Early models of Gleason's GMM SIGMA series of analytical gear inspection systems can now be equipped with an upgrade package that combines the GAMA software suite and the Renishaw SP80H Probe to improve inspection speed and performance. Both GAMA and the Renishaw probe are available for any of the earlier SIGMA series systems built from 2001 to 2007 that range from 175GMM (175 mm gear diameter capacity) to the 300GMM (300 mm capacity).

GAMA operating software allows all programming/editing to be accomplished with Windows Applet Editor, has the ability to support almost any language, offers configurable security levels and the gear data can be converted to the new GAMA-based system. The Renishaw probe provides high speeds, a 20 Nm resolution, kinematic probe mount system and a convenient repair-by-exchange program that is available in all major markets.
