The Latest Gear Industry Origin StoriesIn recent weeks, we've posted a number of new "Origin Stories" on the blog. Origin Stories are the self-told tales of how gear industry veterans got their start in gearing, and the only place you can read them is on the Gear Technology blog. Recently we've posted tales from Geoff Ashcroft, Claude Gosselin and Rob Swiss. Thanks to all who have shared their stories so far!

We’ve Got Your Grinding Needs Covered
Removing heat and reducing friction during the metal grinding proÂcess is vital to increasing wheel life, maintaining workpiece geometry and achieving surface finish goals. The Benz team of metalworking specialists work with manufacturers to optimize each operation with the proper grinding fluid. BENZ GRIND is a great start.
Protect gearbox components against wear and micropitting
To prevent gearbox breakdown, your oil must protect gears and roller bearings against damage. Especially when under critical lubricating conditions. That’s where additives come in. While the additives in most lubricants form the necessary protective layer, they require certain temperatures to do it. Some gear oils only offer reliable protection in a very narrow temperature range.
