ANCA Appoints Edmund Boland as Group Chief Executive Officer

ANCA announced the appointment of Edmund Boland as group chief executive officer.

Boland succeeds Martin Ripple, who left ANCA at the end of July following a transition period that has supported a seamlesss leadership handover.

ANCA Chairman Gavin Smith said the board unanimously endorsed Boland’s appointment based on his proven leadership, deep understanding of ANCA’s technology, operations and customers, and his ability to lead the company through its next phase of growth.

“Edmund brings a unique combination of strategic leadership, operational excellence and a deep appreciation of what has made ANCA successful for more than five decades,” Smith said. “The board has every confidence in his ability to lead ANCA into its next chapter.”

Boland’s connection with ANCA spans most of his life. He first worked within the business during school holidays across a range of departments, including the factory floor, stores and the Grinding Centre. Over the past two decades, he has built a career across finance, global supply chain, international leadership and operations, holding senior roles including general manager of ANCA Europe and most recently, general manager of ANCA CNC Machines.

“What I value most about ANCA is our people, our customers and their use of our technology,” Boland said. “Throughout my career I've had the privilege of spending time with cutting tool manufacturers around the world — meeting families, sharing meals and watching businesses grow. That's how the ANCA family, and our founders Pat McCluskey and Pat Boland, built this company: by helping customers solve complex problems so they can succeed.”

Edmund said his priority as CEO is to continue strengthening ANCA’s leadership through innovation, quality and customer service.

“My focus is straightforward: to build a stronger ANCA that continues to lead our industry through innovation, quality and customer service. As we continue to develop technologies such as MicroX and AIMS, we’ll keep working alongside manufacturers to solve the challenges they face today while creating the innovations they'll need tomorrow.”

ANCA Co-Founder Pat Boland welcomed the appointment.

“I’ve watched Edmund earn the respect of our people, suppliers and customers over many years,” Pat Boland said. “He has done it through hard work, integrity and a genuine commitment to helping manufacturers succeed. He understands that ANCA wins only when our customers succeed.”
