Piselli Enterprises Welcomes Nick Piselli to Sales Team

Nick Piselli recently joined the sales team at Piselli Enterprises located in Statesville, NC. He joins his father Richard and his brother Matthew to serve the gear industry with high-quality new and used gear machinery equipment. 

“I’m very excited to start the next chapter of my career working with both my father and my brother,” Piselli said. “I started working on blogs for the website as well as social media for networking and I’m currently learning the technical aspects of the gear industry as I approach my new role in sales.”

Piselli graduated from Colgate University in New York with a degree in finance. He spent the last six years working in the finance industry before joining the family business in North Carolina. 

“My father’s work ethic and determination have always been an inspiration and really instilled similar goals for both my brother and I,” Piselli added. “He set that standard and we look forward to continuing the legacy he started 30-plus years ago.”

Piselli said he is eager to learn about all the unique markets where gears play a critical role in manufacturing. “Everything from aerospace to automotive to general industrial applications, there are so many opportunities to see where these gears are utilized and how the technology is adapting to market demands. It is an amazing opportunity to be a part of this business today.”

The used gear machinery market is an area that Nick is looking forward to strengthening from a legacy standpoint. 

“We walk into some of these machine shops and they have the most incredible, state-of-the-art hobbing machines working side by side with 1946 Barber Colman machines,” Piselli said. “There is a real art to being a gear machinist and sometimes they cannot do the things they need to do on a brand-new machine—they cannot make the same cuts as they can with the older equipment. We can offer some older equipment that offers repeatable gear cutting, better cycle efficiency and dependable production on a wide range of parts.”
