Emuge-Franken USA Offers Full Line of J-Thread Taps and Thread Mills for Safety Critical Applications
Emuge-Franken USA is highlighting a comprehensive line of its UNJC, UNJF, and MJ Taps, Thread Mills and Gages for safety critical J-Thread type threading applications in industries such as aerospace, defense, transportation and more.
Emuge J-Thread Taps and Thread Mills are designed for safety critical high-stress applications where reliability and strength is paramount. They are built to a 3B or 4H fit required for the internal thread, meeting SAE AS8879 and ASME B1.15 standards.
Emuge J-Thread UNJC, UNJF and MJ Taps are material specific with optimized geometry and coating such as the AL-GLT-104 coated HSSE taps designed for through or bottoming tapping applications in aluminum materials, and the TI-TICN coated HSSE taps designed for through or blind hole threading applications in titanium alloy material groups. In addition, the NI-TICN coated powdered metal HSSE options are designed for through or blind hole applications in Nickel Alloys, UNJC, UNJF J-Series Taps can also be found in the Z series both uncoated (bright), as well as coated with GLT-1, these high-performance taps are designed for blind hole applications in a wide range of materials.
Emuge J-Thread Taps are offered in sizes from #4-40 to 3/8"-16" for UNJC and from #4-48 to 3/8" - 24" for UNJF, with a total of 98 skus. EMUGE Metric MJ Taps include 40 skus, ranging from MJ 3x0.5 to MJ 10x1.5
For Thread Milling solutions, Emuge offers UNJC, UNJF, and MJ Thriller/ AERO tools for aerospace applications. In one operation, Emuge Thriller/Aero Drill/Thread Mills produce both the core hole to the correct size and the internal thread conforming with associated standards. In addition, the thread hole can be interpolated with the milling face to break the sharp edge of the thread. This means that no additional tools are required for drilling and deburring. These are left-hand rotating tools designed for stainless steel, titanium materials and also nickel alloys such as Inconel.
Emuge UNJC Thriller/AERO Thread Milling Tools are available in 2XD and 2.5XD from #6-32 to ¾"-10 and in UNJF from #6-40 to ¾"-16, with 76 total skus and feature ALCR-89 coating to reduce friction/wear. Metric MJ is available in 2XD and 2.5XD from size MJ 3x0.5 to MJ 24x3, with a total of 72 skus.
