Nidec and Wenzel’s joint open house took place in June and featured two days of machine demonstrations, production workflow advantages and the latest and greatest in machine tool and inspection technology.
The informative and expert-led technical sessions stole the show as attendees were treated to industry trends and the challenges facing manufacturers in 2026. Notably, Mark Malburg, president, Digital Metrology Solutions, returned with a fantastic presentation on “Roughness, Waviness and Performance,” and Tom Stewart, managing partner, Dynamic QS, gave valuable insight into “Harnessing AI in the Production Environment.”
Henri Bosch, applications engineering manager, Wenzel, presented an overview and historic look at Wenzel Gear Metrology while Adrianos Georgoussis, deputy engineering manager, Nidec, detailed “A Multi-Process Machine Concept for Internal Gear Finishing.”
Outside of the technical presentations, attendees braved the heat and enjoyed conversations and networking opportunities while looking at machine demonstrations at both the Nidec and Wenzel locations. We encourage anyone involved in gear manufacturing and inspection to keep an eye out for future events like “Gear Up for Precision.”
