United Machining Solutions Makes North American Trade Show Debut

United Machining Solutions will showcase 17 CNC machines featuring the latest innovations from Mägerle, Blohm, Studer, Walter, Agie Charmilles, Charmilles, Mikron Mill and STEP TEC, as well as several new and noteworthy automation accompaniments, including the new Automated Tool Production cell from Walter, the WorkPartner 1 cell from system 3r, and the versaLoad cell from United Grinding North America. 

To kick off the show, IMTS press and visitors are invited to a special show at the United Machining Solutions booth on Monday, September 14 at 10:15 a.m. CDT. United Grinding (North America headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio) and United Machining (North America headquarters in Lincolnshire, Illinois). Each division will showcase machines with a proven track record of increasing customer accuracy, productivity and revenue.

Mägerle, Blohm, Studer, and Walter will all have their latest grinding innovations and in some cases – inventions – on display. Studer, inventors of the first CNC cylindrical grinding machine in 1976, will debut the S23 universal cylindrical grinding machine for the first time at IMTS as well as the S131r, S41 and S33. Walter, inventors of the first CNC tool grinder in 1977, will showcase the new Helitronic Vision Laser and the Automated Tool Production (ATP) automation cell, as well as the Helicheck Nano, Helitronic Micro, and the Power Diamond 400. And Blohm and Magerle will show the MC5 and the MFP 30, respectively. "We are extremely excited to show the manufacturing world our latest machines and software that will help our customers solve their greatest challenges," said Markus Stolmar, president and CEO of United Grinding North America. 

"As an organization, United Grinding is stronger than it’s ever been under United Machining Solutions, and that strength will help us do more than ever for our customers." Machining brands at the United Machining Solutions booth will be Agie Charmilles, Charmilles and Mikron Mill. Agie Charmilles, which released the first industrialized sinker and wire EDMs, will introduce the Cut E 600 Prime for the first time at IMTS and the Form F 450, and the Cut P 600 for the first time anywhere in the world. Mikron Mill, inventors of 5-axis simultaneous high-speed milling, will unveil the 5- axis Mill E 700 U Prime for the first time at IMTS, and will also showcase the Mill S 600 U. And Charmilles will show what’s possible with the Laser S 500.
