Ugo Mariani

Ugo Mariani earned his degree in aeronautical engineering from Politecnico di Milano and joined Agusta (now Leonardo) in 1988. As head of the Fatigue Department for more than 20 years, he advanced helicopter fatigue methodology from safe life to flaw tolerance and fracture mechanics. He retired from Leonardo in 2025.
